Growing up I was always really into creative things, you'd always find me making things with my mum like candles, gifts or going to pottery classes. I just loved making something beautiful and was really passionate about it. I'm also very true to my star sign, Cancerians are well known for being loyal, protective, intuitive and caring. When it came to choosing my careen path, the Cancerian in me won and I went to college to do an Access to Nursing course in 2009, then onto Dundee University in 2010 where I qualified in 2013. I am registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) who are the governing body for all nurses. I have loved every minute of my nursing career, but while it fulfilled one half of me, I'd neglected my creative side that I didn't think nursing could ever fulfil.

In 2017 I met a colleague, and she told me all about her business, I was in awe. This was how I could continue nursing in a creative way. I started looking into a new career path and found that the regulations had just changed, and healthcare practitioners were required to register and comply with Healthcare Improvement Scotland. While this certainly was a step in the right direction for aesthetic and patient safety, the cost for anyone with a medical background was just too much for me at that time. I'd considered giving up my registration, but quickly talked myself out of it, I'd be giving up a part of myself and my patients would no longer have the benefit of having a registered practitioner when they came to me. I am a big fan of the saying "what's meant for you won't go by you", and I found myself in a financial position where I could finally move forward with my dream job in 2020. I trained in Foundation Botox and Dermal Filler with ReNu Skin Clinic in Dundee and am fully insured through Insync Insurance.

During your time with me, I aim to make you feel that you arrive as a client, and leave as a friend, with more knowledge around non-surgical treatments and a better understanding of who I am, my ethos and what my business stands for. Aesthetics for me is about finding ways to enhance what we naturally have. Subtle changes will be made if necessary, to the features we were originally blessed with.
